What to Expect/ Forms

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment to complete a health history form. For your convenience, you may also print the health history form from the interativemassageandwellness.com website and complete prior to your arrival.

It is extremely important that I have a thorough knowledge of your health as some conditions may contraindicated massage therapy.  We will review your health history and your goals to determine which massage will be beneficial for your individual needs.  If you are under a doctor’s care you may need a written recommendation for massage from your doctor prior to your session.

The massage will take place in a warm and quiet room.  Once I leave the room, you will be asked to remove as much clothing as you are comfortable with, including underwear. You will be draped at all times, except for the area being worked on.  Your comfort level is the most important, and privacy will be respected.  Once you are on the table and under the covers, I will knock to make sure you are ready and I will come back into the room and begin the massage session.

I generally work with soft music, but can change the music or work in silence if you prefer.  Massage oils or creams maybe used unless you prefer otherwise. During the massage, periodically I will check in with you about the massage pressure, and your general comfort.  It is important for you to communicate if you are uncomfortable at any time, including the amount of pressure being applied, whether it be too light or too much.  Only you can verbalize what you are feeling in your body and it is important for you to communicate as often as you need to so I can adjust the treatment as needed.  The amount of pressure varies between different parts of your body, so by communicating what you feel will, I can individualize the treatment to give you the most therapeutic results.

When the session is over, I will leave the room to allow you to get dressed.
