Care for a body that’s changing week to week

Sounds like you?

You don’t need the vocabulary.

Tell us how far along you are and how you’re feeling. Choosing the technique is our job.

  • Low back, hip or rib discomfort as pregnancy progresses
  • Trouble getting comfortable enough to rest
  • Tired, achy legs and feet
  • Upper back and neck strain from feeding and carrying a baby
  • Stress about what’s ahead, and nowhere to put it down

Pregnancy changes how you sleep, stand, carry weight and breathe. The months after birth bring a different set of demands: feeding, lifting, and very little time for yourself. Our prenatal and postnatal massage in Los Gatos is positioned for comfort and adapted to how you feel that day.

Whether it’s your first baby or your third, it can be a stressful time. An hour of care that’s just for you can make a real difference to how you feel.

Comfort and safety

Supported, comfortable, never rushed.

How you’re positioned

Side-lying, fully supported.

  • On your side, never your belly

Prenatal sessions are side-lying, supported with pillows and bolsters.

  • Change position any time

Ask for a break, a different position or less pressure whenever you need it.

  • Adapted as you change

Pressure and focus adjust to how you feel that day.

  • Your provider comes first

If your pregnancy is high risk, check with them before booking. We don’t give medical clearance.

Prenatal and postnatal massage, positioned for comfort

We’ll ask how far along you are, how you’re feeling, and whether your provider has given any guidance. If your pregnancy is considered high risk, or you have any concerns, please check with your provider before booking.

Most prenatal sessions are done lying on your side, supported with pillows and bolsters, so you never have to lie on your belly.

After birth, sessions usually focus on the neck, shoulders and upper back from feeding and carrying, plus the hips and low back. Many people wait until their provider has cleared them after delivery. If you’re unsure, ask them first.

What a session may include

  • Side-lying prenatal massage with pillows and bolsters
  • Gentle, supportive soft tissue work for the back and hips
  • Foot and lower leg work, adapted for pregnancy
  • Postnatal work for the neck, shoulders, upper back and hips
  • Slow, restorative massage

You don’t need to ask for any of these by name. Your therapist chooses based on how you feel that day.

Questions about pregnancy + postnatal

Is massage OK during pregnancy?

For many healthy pregnancies, providers are comfortable with massage, but please check with yours, especially if your pregnancy is considered high risk. We can’t give medical clearance.

How far along do I need to be?

Tell us how far along you are when you book. If you’re in your first trimester or unsure, call us first and we’ll talk it through.

Will I have to lie on my stomach?

No. Prenatal sessions are done on your side, supported by pillows and bolsters, and you can change position whenever you need to.

What if lying on one side gets uncomfortable?

Say so and your therapist will help you switch sides or reposition. Pillows and bolsters are adjusted until you’re comfortable, and you can take a break at any time.

How soon after birth can I come in?

Many people wait until their provider has cleared them after delivery, often around their postpartum checkup. If you had a cesarean or any complications, ask your provider first.

Ready when you are.

Choose a time that suits you. Your therapist plans the session with you when you arrive.
