For bodies carrying more than they should
Sounds like you?
You don’t have to explain it well.
Tell us how you’ve been. The pace and the pressure are ours to work out.
- Tension in the jaw, neck and shoulders after a demanding stretch at work
- Feeling wired and tired, lying awake running through tomorrow
- A big life change: kids leaving home, a new job, caring for a parent
- Needing an hour to yourself, with no one asking for anything
- Wanting more than a generic spa routine, without deep pressure
Stress rarely stays in your head. It shows up as a clenched jaw, shoulders near your ears, shallow breathing and sleep that doesn’t quite refresh you. Our relaxation and restorative massage in Los Gatos gives your body room to let go.
Restorative isn’t just lighter pressure. The session is paced and sequenced to help you downshift, with focused attention wherever the stress has settled in your body.
What the hour feels like
An hour where nobody needs anything from you.
You arrive
We ask how you are, physically and otherwise.
You settle
Slow, long, flowing strokes. Firm where you hold tension, if you want it.
The quiet part
Neck, scalp, hands and feet. Talk or drift off; your therapist follows your lead.
If you’d like
Extra time for reflexology on the feet, or quiet acupressure work.
No rush
A private, quiet space. If feelings surface as you relax, that’s normal, and what happens in the room stays there.
“...she knows instinctively if you feel like chatting or just drifting off.”
Relaxation and restorative massage that lets you switch off
A restorative session moves more slowly, with quieter point work that many people find settling. Pressure can still be firm where you hold tension; it just isn’t the whole agenda.
What a session may include
- Slow, restorative massage with long, flowing strokes
- Reflexology on the feet
- Acupressure
- Scalp, neck and hand work
You don’t need to ask for any of these by name. Your therapist chooses based on how you feel that day.

Questions about stress + reset
Is it OK to fall asleep?
Completely. It’s one of the best signs a session is working. Your therapist will gently let you know when it’s time to turn over.
Do I have to talk?
Not at all. Some people talk the whole time and some say nothing. Your therapist will follow your lead.
Will a relaxation massage still help my tight shoulders?
Yes. Restorative doesn’t mean skipping the problem areas. Your therapist will still spend focused time where you hold tension, just at a pace that lets the rest of you settle too.
How often should I come in?
Whatever fits your life and budget. Many people find a regular rhythm, often monthly, easier to keep than waiting until things get bad.
Ready when you are.
Choose a time that suits you. Your therapist plans the session with you when you arrive.
